As new Wen-Mac Indy 500 Special Vintage Gas Powered Tether Race Car mounted on a wood board with brass award plaque.This was a promotional gift to vendors for outstanding participation in the new "Sprite" soft drink campaign 50 or so years ago. It is basically the same car as the more common white Testors Sprite Special racecar,but cast in yellow by Wen-Mac and includes a driver and Wen-Mac motor,no doubt chosen to highlight the award car from the more common white version. These promos are scarce,consequently not turning up very often,this one is the best I've seen. Apart from the car missing its right mirror,I believe it's complete and obviously very nice,never used other than for display. Some decals are lifting around their edges but they're basically in tact and the car could use some minor cleaning.
